In its digital medical prescription platform, Memed has a bank of information such as: medicines, tests, instructions, formulas and peripherals. These are updated daily to support clinical decisions.

The same platform offers physicians the possibility of generating prescriptions and making them available to the user through a link. Thus, users can access their prescriptions in digital format and thus be able to claim medicines or make purchases at pharmacies.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of pre-registrations uploaded monthly to the platform increased from 500,000 to around 3,000,000,000 million. Being Cloud Native and provisioning the infrastructure above and beyond what was needed since its inception, the healthcare technology was already prepared to meet the demands of telemedicine. However, according to David Cardoso, Chief Technology Officer at Memed, the company needed a monitoring tool that would provide observability data and a solid consultancy that had the know-how to help them meet the demands of the technology upgrade.

 

Solution

With the support of Delfia, Memed technology leader, we understood that the Datadog tool, 100% Cloud, was the right choice to implement and monitor their IT structure. “The proofs of concept were crucial to our decision for two reasons: they allowed us to understand if the tool was right for us and also allowed us to test what the relationship with Delfia would be like,” says Memed Head of Technology.

 

Results

When Delfia implemented the Datadog tool, problem resolution in the IT environment gained agility and a notorious reduction in Memed time. In this way, the root cause could be found quickly, and, in a matter of minutes, the problem could be solved in production.
